Ana Kostova

Ana Kostova (*1995, Plovdiv, Bulgaria) studied Fine Arts at Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel from 2021–2023, and previously Painting at the National Academy of Art in Sofia from 2018–2020. Her work has received several awards, including the DAAD Award in 2023, nominations for the André Evard Award in 2024 and the VHV Award in 2025, as well as the Pavillon Scholarship from Kulturwerk Schleswig-Holstein.

Her works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad, including Contours of Memory at Prima Kunst Kiel in 2025 and her largest solo exhibition with Galerie Kaufmann Hamburg. Other venues have taken her to Berlin, Hamburg, Sofia, Kiel, Náchod, Bremen and Neumünster, as well as to the Positions Art Fair, the Salon der Gegenwart, the Sofia Art Fair and the exhibition for the André Evard Award.
