Marvin Ketteniss
In his artistic practice, Marvin Ketteniss explores phenomena within logistical and metropolitan contexts. He is interested in advertising technologies, logos, and guidance systems that enter into complex relationships with the individual psyche in modern metropolises. The painting process is open, organic, and experimental; Ketteniss develops images that integrate contextually charged fragments and materials such as truck tarpaulins with traces of wear.
His paintings function as evidence of a forensic search for clues and raise questions about desire, power, and the relationship between man-made environments and consciousness.
