Pink Cherry
In her artistic practice, Rosa Kirsch explores dichotomies such as illusion and reality, good and evil, and control and chaos. She investigates how we construct reality in response to fear, incorporating gender, tradition, and morality. She finds inspiration in nature, domesticity, psychology, fairy tales, kitsch, and symbolism.
Her works are multimedia: soft, shiny materials contrast with hard surfaces, detailed elements combine with photographic notes, everyday objects, and material-oriented approaches. In the tension between security and discomfort, humor and melancholy, her works create a connection between inner and outer reality, reflecting the stories we tell ourselves.
