Waking up in Toy-Town
Concept
"Waking up in Toy-Town" unites various artistic positions from the Rennert Gallery's portfolio and invites viewers to see familiar impressions with new eyes. The pop-up exhibition moves from moments where cuteness tips into the uncanny to the suggestive power of abstract forms. This creates an aesthetic field of tension in which the familiar is exposed, and not security but play becomes a refuge.
